Fresh Résumé
Client: Atlanta Journal Constitution
This image was for the Atlanta Journal Constitution. The article that this picture illustrates was about “fresh, out-of-the-box” résumés. The art director and I mulled over a few ideas but ultimately decided to draw it literally, a resume coming out of a box.
I wanted to change up the style a little bit and create a cleaner look so I focused on giving the box gradients and shadows to make it pop more. I think the color scheme really made the illustration stand out but at the same time kept it professional and corporate. I wondered if anyone read this article and was inspired to brush up on their résumé. In this day and age, it pays to be original and fresh so that you don’t fall in with the other zillions of résumés sitting on desks.
